RVCC is seeking a part-time Call Center Specialist to work in Enrollment Services.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Recruitment & Communications, the Call Center Specialist is responsible for excellent communication, customer service, and listening skills in the management of inbound and outbound communications (i.e. phone calls, emails, text messaging, Instant Messenger, LiveChat, etc.). Candidate will attend mandatory training sessions to stay updated on College updates, processes, procedures, policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
Associates degree required.
Excellent communication & customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing along with active listening.
Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
Follow communication scripts when handling different topics.
Strong computer skills and ability to work between multiple systems during calls.
Must possess problem solving abilities by using good judgment and applying these skills to assist customers and ensure customers' expectations are met.
High level of professionalism.
Keep records of all conversations in our call center database in a comprehensible way.
Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and prior exposure to a database system; ability to create standard documents and reports.
Work hours vary at different times of the year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual - English/Spanish.
Familiarity with CRM systems and practice.
Previous experience working in a call center, customer service or a related area is preferred.

Requires sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
Utilizing a computer and looking at computer monitor.
Utilizing a headset with microphone.
Occasionally move and lift up to 20 pounds.
