Entry Level Customer Service Jobs description
The pool of entry-level customer service openings is vast and has positions like customer service assistant, customer service associate, customer service representative, customer service coordinator, customer service representative, customer service specialist, customer service agent, and customer service executive. Typical duties for an entry-level customer service position include receiving calls from existing customers or prospective clients, understanding their inquiries, complaints or service requests, interpreting the information exchanged, taking required action, keeping record of specific accounts, making follow up calls, offering customers with service advise and performing other tasks assigned by the customer service manager. An entry-level customer service professional typically reports to a customer service manager.An entry-level customer service professional should have a high school diploma or an associate's degree. Excellent customer service skills are very important for an entry-level customer service role. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel may be required.
