In accordance with assigned position, performs a variety of clerical/technical duties in support of patient nutrition. May orient patients to the Room Service program; receive meal orders and perform computer data entry; monitor patient's menu selections; and assemble and deliver orders.','!*!
High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
Current State of Washington Food Handlers Permit required.
Demonstrated competency in safely and/or accurately operating a variety of equipment including, but not limited to: fax machine, telephone, food delivery carts, Aladdin heater, coffee brewing equipment, alphamate pager and refrigerator units.
Ability to log into/log out of a PC, navigate around a PC, and use MS Office software.
Ability to provide quality customer service in a serious, sensitive environment.
Ability to manage several simultaneous tasks and set priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language at the 8th grade level
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations using units of US currency, weight measurement, and volume.
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, recipes, plating guidelines, meal order tickets and procedure manuals.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one situations to customers and VM staff.
Preferred: One year experience in a customer service capacity, preferably in a food service environment.
