The Customer Marketing Specialist reports into the Senior Marketing Manager for the Medtronic diabetes business, UKI
This role will work closely with product managers and community/social media manager. Additionally, the successful candidate will collaborate with various teams including transformation, education, market access, customer services, WeCare support services, and field-based teams across the UK& Ireland region, as well as the EMEA marketing and strategy team. The goal is to grow Medtronics business, increase brand awareness, build advocacy, increase customer intimacy, and support the customer experience.

**A Day in the Life**
The Customer Marketing Specialist (for patients) will support the Senior Marketing Manager with design and implementation of country marketing and communication plans for specific projects and omni-channel campaigns, in line with, European, Regional UKIB Strategy and country AOP, to ensure broadest reach to existing and potential patient customers, supporting patient acquisition and retention
Establish deep expertise on the target customer segment and ensure this expertise is integrated purposefully into the extended marketing team
Understand market analyses to identify requirements of the target audience, developing insights, unmet needs and new business opportunity to help improve marketing programs
Develop campaigns using an omni-channel strategy direct to consumers to support acquisition, grow market share and customer retention by promoting and raising awareness of Medtronic support services, on-line resources, education, virtual clinics, and e-shop.
Track and measure effectiveness and impact of campaigns following implementation.
Interact with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities customized for the target audience
Create new engagement opportunities and channels direct to consumer
Look for avenues to continuously optimize the target customer experience, establishing metrics that can help measure the engagement of the customer segment
Lead the marketing activity for national, regional, and virtual patient focussed events (internal and external) such as conferences, symposia, workshops, and congresses, aligned with country, regional and European strategies, and the Medtronic brand.
Work in close collaboration with the marketing team, P.R., and communications teams to ensure brand consistency
Engage with the EMEA digital team supporting direct to customer communications
Drive brand awareness and equity among the target audience (support market access manger and collaborate with advocacy groups)
Work closely with sales team to understand the market and ensure consistency of marketing messages, including regular customer and field visits across UK and Ireland.
Monitor and analyse country quantitative and qualitative market data and NPS customer satisfaction data.
Manage availability of patient facing marketing materials, including brochures, papers, presentations, and sales tools.
Develop a strong customer intimacy, close contacts, and presence in the field.
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Professional experience in direct-to-consumer and/or healthcare marketing
Skills in marketing communications and advertising
Degree level education
Holds a recognised marketing qualification.
Skills in content creation, asset development, and digital content management and deployment
Understanding of the customer journey
Experience in event development and management (virtual and face to face)
Strong track record of high achievement against current/past objectives
Candid, ethical, patient and customer-focused
Outstanding communication/interpersonal skills, a team player able to collaborate across different functions within a complex matrix organisation.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Flexibility: multiple and changing priorities
Proficient in digital platforms, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Resilience mindset, ability to see opportunities when facing difficult situations and challenges
Adaptable and growth mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel 50% -60% of the time
Full clean driving licence
**Nice to Have**
Strong product/therapy knowledge in healthcare or diabetes device product area
Digital marketing skills/qualification
Experience in healthcare direct to consumer marketing
e-commerce/e-retail experience
