****Job Description:
The Outside Operations Manager will assist in all golf-related aspects at Great River Golf Club. They will work directly with the Head Golf Professional and be responsible for the oversight and management of daily golf operations to provide the best possible country club experience for members and guests. This will be done by following an operational mission statement and code of conduct that will be developed and presented at the beginning of each season. The Outside Operations Manager will help carry out this plan by leading the Golf Staff through example and encouragement.
Responsibilities Include:
Complete management and execution of all daily outside operations including but not limited to training and supervision commensurate with Great River Mission Statement,
Core Values and Plan for the Future.
Must be willing to perform given tasks and work the hours required, with some weeks exceeding 50 hours during premier member events.
Must be willing to work holidays/weekends.
Responsible for management of staff, including hiring, scheduling; disciplinary actions, terminations, reviews, and other essential functions of managing staffing levels.
Be prepared to handle all Member and guest requests.
Supervise, motivate, and discipline Golf Service Representatives and Golf Operations Outside Shift Leaders.
Comply with all Great River policies, procedures, and safety programs.
Greet each Member and guest in a polite and friendly manner.
Learn and use Member's last names and engage positively with them.
Monitor outside areas to aid members and guests.
Ensure that all guests and public reservations are greeted in a friendly manner and walk them to the main Clubhouse to check in for their tee-time.
Ensure that overall cleanliness and presentation of the range and practice facilities are maintained.
Ensure that Members and guests' golf clubs are clean and returned to either the bag drop or the bag room.
Ensure a proper farewell to members and guests.
Ensure tee sheet is always accurate by expanding communication via the Pro Shop and Marshals.
Ensure that appearance and uniform standards are met by all Golf Outside Services staff.
Participate in daily morning meetings with Pro Shop and Golf Outside Services staff.
In charge of pace of play monitoring.
Ensure that Members and guests are assisted with alternative parking areas during busy times.
Ensure various details such as beverage stations, on-course sand/seed, and carts are stocked with scorecards, pencils, and seed bottles are properly maintained.
Ensure that range product and presentation is up to par with Great River Standards.
Ensure all services to members are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
Ability to come to work regularly and on time; follow directions, take criticism, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors, members and guests with respect and courtesy.
Support safe work habits that always contribute to a safe working environment.

Other duties and jobs may be assigned as needed by a supervisor.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
PGA Member or PGA Associate
Knowledge of club repair
Experience using tournament software program Golf Genius or Event Man
Provide the highest level of customer service and must enjoy working with people and be willing to work in various areas of golf services.
Golf merchandising experience.
Driver's license is required.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of golf and golf services is important.
Early morning hours, evening hours. Working weekends and holidays. Requires lifting of heavy objects.
