Solution Architect- End User Computing

Profile

As a Nutanix Solutions Architect (SA), you are responsible for accelerating the adoption of Nutanix products globally in the End User Computing space. Nutanix has a unique reach inside and outside of customer data centers, covering hyper-converged infrastructure, multiple hypervisors & OEM hardware platforms, automation & orchestration, and public cloud. As customers continue their hybrid cloud journey architect-level guidance is critical to their success.

The EUC architect will provide global field support by assisting our sales teams in large/complex deals, improve the product by working with Engineering to provide feedback on testing and evangelize our products by providing collateral to support our field teams (Reference Architectures, speaking engagements, videos, etc.).

The EUC architect must be a highly organized, thorough, and motivated professional that understands the importance of being a strong team player and leader when it comes to forging a solution and liaising with customers. In addition to assisting sales and advanced architecture designs, the EUC architect will be a crucial field partner for Nutanix engineering. Your knowledge and experience will be leveraged as a part of a continuous feedback loop to drive architectural best practices and tooling required to increase adoption, retention, and overall customer experience.

Job Description

Key responsibilities of the EUC Architect include:

Work with Pre-Sales and Post-Sales engineers as well as technology partners to drive the resolution of difficult technical issues escalated to the Solutions and Performance engineering team

Run and optimize popular benchmarks and load tests on these software products

Install, configure, and validate key commercial software products on lab equipment

Debug performance issues and suggest code/design improvements to the core data path engineering team

Provide analysis of our existing customer base to avoid and minimize risks in the field

Work cross-functionally to incorporate quality and serviceability in design

Develop guidelines for a solution and performance troubleshooting

Create performance best practices for use in the field

Candidates should be technically strong enough to establish credibility with technical leaders in larger accounts. Working in tandem with the Nutanix sales teams requires the candidate to have knowledge and experience in sales methodologies and a keen focus on driving positive business outcomes. The EUC Solution architect should also have the following:

6 years experience in a customer-facing technical role

Deep enterprise-level architecture expertise or certification (e.g. Nutanix NPX, VMware VCDX, TOGAF, etc.)

Technical expertise with virtualization technologies, data center consolidation, and/or server technologies is required

Strong writing skills

Experienced in working with different cultures across the globe

Hands-on, and does what it takes attitude to drive success

Must be effective in working independently and in a team setting with other high-performing technical architects.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, and internal cross-functional teams including Sales and Engineering

A structured thinker with strong presentation and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and execute detailed action plans with minimal oversight

Highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.

One or more desired: Enterprise application experience (e.g., Horizon View, Citrix Virtual Apps, and Desktops and Citrix DaaS, Application Layering, Profile Management Solutions)

Direct experience designing and deploying production-level large-scale integration deployments.
