Description
The UM Administration Coordinator 2 contributes to administration of utilization management for Humana's KY Medicaid plan. The UM Administration Coordinator 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
Responsibilities
The Medicaid Utilization Management Coordinator provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.
Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.
Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
This role will be required to travel to the local Market office for training and meetings (See Additional Information)
Required Qualifications
Claims processing experience
1 or more years administrative experience
1 - 2 years previous customer service experience
Strong data entry skills
Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment and an ability to quickly learn new systems
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously
Ability to scan, fax and use other electronic techniques
Must be available to work Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00 pm EST
This role will be required to travel to the local Market office for training and meetings (See Additional Information)
Must reside in Kentucky

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Proficient utilizing electronic medical record and documentation programs
Proficient and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes
Prior member service or customer service telephone experience
Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization
Managed Care organization
Experience working in a Virtual Environment

Onsite Travel
