Process:

First telephone interview with Manager of CRM in Lake Mary, FL as well as the Manager in NYC where this position will report. The second interview is in person.

Background check and drug screening required.

Some relocation assistance available for the right candidate. Strong preference for candidate to be available to work in the NYC location.

We are looking for a CRM Business Analyst to provide with design best practices and continuous improvement of the technology function within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Competency Center. This position provides functional and IT operational support for 3 Scholastic business units: Education Group, SCCG and International Export. Scholastic's CRM platform is PeopleSoft based, and may be migrated to a Salesforce.com solution within the next 2 years

Location and travel:

Candidate has the option to work from the NYC Scholastic SOHO office, or the Danbury CT office. The incumbent will average local commuting to/from Danbury ~1 day week, and to the Lake Mary, FL office about 3 times per year.

This position will report to the CRM Competency Director.

Key Technology Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Scholastic CRM application managers to develop and execute a CRM application solution strategy that supports the business growth

• Leverage existing technologies deployed at Scholastic to define enterprise centric CRM processes

• Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into functional design documentation, leverage the CRM packaged application out-of-the-box capabilities and product direction

• Analyze business and user needs, documents requirements, document use cases, and manage system enhancements: document, prioritize, review with business SMEs, and collaborate with developers to complete functional system designs.

• Provide test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects

• Work with the business groups to obtain approval of system enhancements and project documentation

• Train users in administration and use of system and provide new user training on supported applications

• Recommend design changes to facilitate business requirements and analyze standard and custom developed processes. Seek out opportunities that will support business goals via available CRM capabilities.

• Project review including applicable status reporting and monitoring

• Scope Management Control

Relationship Building and Cross Functional Teams:

• Collaborate with CRM Functional management team and with business users to refine scope and high level business requirements for major projects. Ensure a prioritization process to assess projects that will deliver the most business value.

• Develop working relationships with key business users and a strong understanding of the business processes of the area you support

• Leverages relationships with key internal/external clients to support business needs.

• Participate in regular meetings within IT to ensure that we have good communication, partnership and alignment

• Develop and maintain working relationships with key vendors so we can maximize our usage of their products

Additional Responsibilities:

• Problem Solving: High level of responsibility. Requires ability to assess process risks and assist in formulating mitigation plans. On key projects, the ability to take corrective action to bring projects back on track and the ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend best course of action will be key attributes needed.

• Level of Decision Making: High level of responsibility. Requires ability to assess process risks and recommend mitigation plans. Ability to evaluate reasonableness of estimates, in working with project team managers

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field

• A minimum of 7 years experience in process design, business process re-engineering, requirements gathering/analysis, and solution architecture

• A minimum of 5 years experience architecting and overseeing the solution and design of CRM projects, leveraging PeopleSoft, Siebel or Salesforce.com

• A minimum of 5 years supervising or managing functional or development teams

• A minimum of 6 hands-on CRM implementations experience (6 full SDLC projects)

• Working experience in an advisory role providing recommendations to customers on optimal use of PeopleSoft ,Siebel or Salesforce.com packaged applications products

• Development and implementation experience in CRM area with focus on SFA, Lead and Opportunity Management, Event Management, Field Scheduling, Case Management and Order Capture/Order Management

• Strong business analysis experience is a must

• Excellent presentation and documentation skills

• Exposure to more than 1 CRM packaged application is desirable

• Consulting experience, preferably with Big 4 firms, desirable
