Job Description The HR Business Partner is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of the
organization’s human resource strategies within a multi-state region. The HRBP aligns human resource objectives
with employees and management at the VE Corporate level. The HRBP anticipates, manages and delivers
value-added services that impact the organization’s goals in the areas of recruitment, training and development,
performance management, employee relations, compliance, and total rewards. This position will collaborate with
the HR Leadership Team, recruiting partners, talent management, HR SSC members, and other HR Partners to
deliver exceptional customer service to the business.
1. Serves as the HR subject matter expert to managers and employees and establishes HR as a
credible and trustworthy resource;
2. Based in the Philadelphia office, the HRBP will support all corporate functions within VNA;
3. Ensures HR is providing customer-oriented service to the business including talent management
and organizational effectiveness, supports onboarding, employee relations, conflicts management,
termination, etc. ;
4. Manages programs, policies, and procedures to support the organizational culture;
5. Fosters a positive, diverse and inclusive culture through education, communication, and initiatives
6. Coaches managers and others to achieve maximum potential;
7. Facilitates performance management through coaching, systems and processes;
8. Develops and coordinates learning and development plans to transfer knowledge and provide
career growth;
9. Conducts assessments to identify issues and partners with managers to implement solutions;
10. Communicates and applies policy and procedures across organization and recommends changes
to support business needs;
11. Conducts investigations of workplace policy violations and mediates difficult employee relations
issues;
12. Serves as a team leader for organizational initiatives and implements change;
13. Gathers and reports HR metrics including key performance indicators to assess and improve HR
service;
14. Participate in all other Human Resources activities with the Corporate HRD.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required
● 6 years related work experience required,
● 3 years strategic HR experience supporting a multi-state matrix organization preferred
● Experience providing HR support to executive clients required
● Experience with applicant tracking systems, Taleo preferred
● Shared Services Center experience preferred.
● General knowledge of varying types of Health and Welfare plans.
● Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) experience preferred.
● Human Resources Information System (“HRIS”) or other related mainframe systems. ADP
experience strongly preferred.

● Demonstrated understanding of effective human resource management and support for
business
● Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
● Excellent proficiency in document and spreadsheet processing (Google Sheets, Docs,
Presentation, Google Drive and all the Google Suite)
● Ability to develop spreadsheets and modify formats in order to complete assignments and
ability to recommend improvements.
● Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar
and a passion for excellence in customer service.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as
well as external suppliers and organizations.
● Ability to execute tasks independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.
● Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an
environment with large volumes of data and paperwork. Significant attention to detail
required.
● Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.
