Besides having a job that a person can enjoy almost every day, it pays relatively well. On average, a fitness worker makes nearly double what a server or a bartender will make. They make quite a bit more than a hair stylist or esthetician make as well. Just about anyone who wants to become a fitness worker can make quite a decent living, especially once they have had a few years of experience and who have remained with the same business for a few years. Becoming a fitness worker does require some education, training and certification before a person can take such a job. These requirements are probably one of the biggest reasons that people in this customer service job tend to get paid more than in other ones, such as the ones previously mentioned.
There are both health and monetary benefits on top of the rate of pay offered for people employed as fitness workers. There is, of course, the chance that a person who has been employed with the same store for a long enough period of time can earn a substantial raise. There are also opportunities for these people who gain experience to be promoted to a supervisor or managerial job that usually offers more pay than what they were making when they were a fitness instructor. They could even end up managing their own store if they did well enough and the pay can be excellent by this point.
